Dr. Wynne Brown is a native of Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to starting this private practice, she was medical director for the integrative medicine clinic at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She is executive director of a nonprofit organization since 2009, an author, and is an advocate for equity in health care.
As a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, Dr. Wynne has diagnosed and supported women healing from breast cancer and has provided timely evidence-based information to support women to make their best choices with care, including conventional, complementary, and alternative options.
She is a breast cancer survivor and has been an advocate for her own health and supportive of women who are starting or are still in treatment.
As an acupuncturist, she has trained in and practiced Traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) for over 24 years and is in ongoing study in Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM) to promote health by addressing the root cause obstacles to health. Her interests have also led her to study Tibetan medicine, energy body work, herbal medicine, essential oils, and supplements. She is most passionate about food as your first medicine and is an avid organic gardener.
With her medical training and masters degree in food policy, she has facilitated regular weekend workshops through the Original Medicine Institute for the Healing Arts on menopause, hormones, medicinal herbs, how to grow your food organically, alternative and integrative medicine topics, as well as founding the Original Medicine Apprenticeship.
She has also taught meditation for over 30 years and has a daily practice that includes mindfulness, prayer, and service.
Her passion for health and healing is grounded in her deep connection with Nature and respect for the Earth as a living being. She helps students discover and deepen divine connections within, with Nature as a willing partner. Recognizing miracles in everyday life, she assists others to learn about their true nature and how to become who they are here to be.
